In between dreams

A filmmaker retraces the thread of childhood wonders, crossing places and faces, collecting dreams, languages and memories, only to discover fragments of himself.

In Between Dreams is an intimate autobiographical documentary following a filmmaker from Kolkata as he wanders through Paris, searching for memories of his childhood and home. One day, he lands in Parc des Buttes-Chaumont where he encounters strangers gathered in music and conversation. As they speak of dreams, language, and memory, the park becomes a living crossroads of migration and longing. In communicating their dreams and memories to one another, they create a fragile but powerful sense of a shared belonging. And in that exchange, the filmmaker too finds what he had been searching for, a familiar feeling that he could call his home.
